Valerie comes from a prior legal background of about 20 years. The most recent 16 have been diligently working as an independent contractor for a family that she first worked for in her prior legal employment. She is an administrator by nature with a love of the minutia while keeping her eye on the big picture. That has been her professional life. Her volunteer life has also shaped and developed her, reaching out, crisis advocating, supporting, praying, mentoring, leading studies and serving the needs of our youth and women. Valerie has been volunteering in various ministries for approximately 20 years.  All of her professional and volunteer experience has culminated into years of management and leadership training that leads Intersect Ministries as it begins to take flight in the community.

Rena has served in various volunteer positions with a variety of ministries spanning three decades. Married to her best friend for 41 years and raising a family of four kids, Rena and Steve have lived all over the United States. It was in serving that Rena and Valerie met and the rest, as they say, is history. God knitted them together for His purposes, one of which is the mission of Intersect Ministries. Rena serves on the Board of Directors as well as leads studies, intercedes and is ready and willing to meet whatever the need is before her. Joyful and a courageous truth teller, Intersect Ministries is blessed by Rena’s fearless commitment to the mission and tenacious expectancy in prayer.
